Little PAWS updates
We are pleased to announce that Jackie Hance is our new Nursery Manager. Jackie is a very experienced Nursery Manager including working alongside a school. She is already working with the team at PAWS and has helped to recruit some of our new Little PAWS staff.
The redevelopment of the Old School Building and outdoor space is now well underway and we are excited to see the progress that is being made. Any outstanding work will be completed during the October half term or over the Christmas holiday.
As the summer holidays begins we have begun recieving our furniture and equipment orders and can not wait to start unpacking and preparing the nursery for September.
We continue to plan to be open from 8th September 2025 for children aged 2+, we hope to be able to offer some settling-in sessions for new starters during the week before.
As previously communicated for 0–2-year-olds we require a separate Ofsted registration for the school. We can only apply for this registration 12 weeks before we are due to open, and this process can take up to 10 weeks. Therefore, formal bookings for 0-2 year olds may be delayed.
Waiting list
We are now holding a waiting list for most age groups. There is potential that some applicants will still get a space for September as we are awaiting deposits from some families. We will keep in touch with these families individually.
Our next steps
- Complete the refurbishmnet works in the Old School Building
- Prepare all of the resources ready for our September opening
- If you have booked your place child's with us, parents/carers should apply for their childcare voucher code for funded hours and send them in to us at littlepaws@pevenseyschool.org.uk.
